Supersprint Rowing Grand Prix 14th October 2000
The Second Grand Prix was held near Windsor in England on 14th October 2000, with the world's top rowers travelling from the Sydney Olympic Games to compete.
Separate events for Elite teams, Universities and Schools were included.
Despite some excellent rowing and sculling from Russia, Norway and the Netherlands, the British number one team of Steve Redgrave, Matthew Pinsent, Gillian Lindsay, Miriam Batten and James Cracknell (all Olympic medallists in Sydney) managed to put together a decisive lead in the relay racing to win the Nortel Networks International Challenge, with Russia second and the Netherlands third.

Events were held for Elite teams, Universities and Schools on the same course and in the same format as the Internationals. A one minute challenge was also held on race day, entered by many of the crowd and raced on ergometer machines.
