Supersprint Rowing was launched in 1999 to transform the interest and enjoyment provided by rowing for spectators and television viewers.

Supersprint Rowing goes global. New Supersprint Rowing Challenges, both regional and international, are being organised. Check the race calendar for details or click on the links to the right.

The First Supersprint Rowing Grand Prix, held in September 1999, was won by Great Britain, with the Netherlands, USA and Denmark close behind. For details of that first event, click here.

The Second Grand Prix was held near Windsor in England on 14th October 2000, with the world's top rowers travelling from the Sydney Olympic Games to compete. Click here to read about the day's racing.


RESULTS: Great Britain take on the world: an illustrious team headed by Matthew Pinsent and James Cracknell demolished a similarly starry Rest of the World Supersprint Rowing team at Hampton Court Palace on July 2nd 2001. For news of this and other recent events, visit the archive of events.
